In 1994 she moved to Kenya, where she lived for eight years, working with street children, but never gave up her need to vocally perform...

Johanna came to Spain in 2002, where she worked with some of the best musicians.

In 2005 she took a teaching assignment with the "Stage Door Performing Arts" theater school, where she taught children in singing and drama.

Although originally a jazz singer, Johanna performs just as confortable with pop, blues and cabaret.

Today, she's one of the most talented performers living and working at the Costa Blanca.

She can take you back to Broadway, the forties and the fifties, as her voice has that special color and warmth that enlightens any occasion.

Whether on a small stage or music hall, this magical lady sweeps you off your feet and will take you on a musical journey that you won't ever forget!

AMETHYST

The duo Amethyst was founded in 2005 by Johanna Spanjerberg and Mat Nuberg.

With their great harmonizing voices, they bring you a repertoire of swing, jazz, soul, blues, latin and pop.

Mat loves to sing songs from "the Great American Songbook" such as; Fly me to the Moon, I get a Kick out of You, New York, New York, etc., in the style of Michael Bubie.

Johanna favours jazz songs that were performed by Ella Fitzgerald, Diana Krall, etc., like; Autumn Leaves, Allright, Ok you win, Summertime, etc. She also enjoys singing the themes of Barbra Streisand, Celine Dion and many of the contemporary pop divas.

Amethyst performs in bars, restaurants, for dinners (with soft ballads) and at private parties, where they'll sing the songs you can dance to (even rock & roll). In short, they've got music for every occasion.
